RSO Auction and Estate Liquidation began in 2017.  We are a family run, faith-based business striving to serve our clients and our community.  We began an estate liquidation business in 2012 because we saw a need.  After holding a living estate sale for my mother when she lost her home due to health issues, Robert and I realized how difficult that process was.  We experienced her stress with what she needed to do with a lifetime of furniture, collectibles, and memories.  We decided that we wanted to help people going through similar situations ease their stress and anxiety in this process.   We found that auctions generally garnered more money than traditional estate sales so we took peoples' estates to several local auctions to sell their estates.  We served many clients for five years before deciding to become auctioneers ourselves.  Owning an auction house allows us to auction our clients' estates at our own company, therefore diminishing fees paid to other auction houses.  

Who we are...

Robert Overstreet is a former law enforcement officer who served Barrow County, City of Jefferson, and City of Arcade respectively for fourteen years.  After retiring from law, he owned a successful business in Winder called Baseball Academy.  His own children all grew up playing baseball and his middle son, Patrick, currently plays college baseball at Truett McConnell University.  His youngest, Reed, plays on the Jackson County High School team.  Robert is also a licensed Master Barber and also remains a certified Peace Officer in active standing.  Shannon Overstreet is a retired educator who taught high school English in Forsyth, Barrow, and Jackson Counties for 29 years.  She is still a certified Georgia teacher.

Robert and Shannon live in Jefferson, GA, and both Robert and Shannon are professional auctioneers in the state of Georgia.
